Abercrombie & Fitch appoints senior vice president of environmental, social and governance
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has appointed Michael Lopez to the newly created role of senior vice president for environmental, social and governance.
In his new position, he will be responsible for leading the fashion retailer’s sustainability, community giving, and inclusion and diversity functions as the company looks to embed its ESG strategy into its business operations.

Lopez previously worked with Hewlett Packard Enterprise as its chief diversity officer where he was responsible for diversifying the workforce and driving strategies that fostered an inclusive experience for employees. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Jefferies & Company and Alcoa.
At Abercrombie & Fitch Co., he will be a member of the company’s executive steering committee and will report directly to chief human resources officer Holly May.
