H&M Group names Leyla Ertur as head of sustainability
H&M Group has appointed Leyla Ertur as its new head of sustainability.
Due to take up her role in January, Ertur will succeed Anna Gedda who has been appointed to the position of head of steering and strategic planning at H&M Group.
Having joined H&M in 2000, Ertur has led teams across a variety of areas within H&M including HR, production and global supply chain management. Most recently, she has held a dual position as regional country manager for production in Europe and head of global quality strategy and compliance.
Helena Helmersson, chief executive of H&M Group, said: “Leyla’s vast experience working in our production countries combined with her leadership skills, make her ideally suited to carry on the fantastic work Anna and her team have done over the past six years. I’m excited about what she will bring to the role as we continue pushing the boundaries within sustainability, driving the agenda both at H&M Group and for the industry.”
