Swarovski appoints new chief financial officer
Swarovski has appointed David Wielemans as its new chief financial officer.
He will also become a member of the company’s executive committee.
Due to take up his role in April, he will be based in Switzerland and will report to Swarovski’s chief executive Alexis Nasard.
Wielemans will replace Frederik Westring who is currently working in the position on an interim basis and will leave the business in June.
Nasard said: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of this well rounded and experienced leader. The breadth and depth of his experience aligns perfectly with Swarovski’s Luxignite strategy and will be a key asset as we continue our luxurisation journey towards sustainable, profitable growth.”
Since 2020, Wielemans has been working with EssilorLuxottica as co-chief financial officer for the EssilorLuxottica Group and as group chief financial officer for Essilor International. Prior to this, he held various senior roles with Essilor.
