Games Workshop says full year profit will be at least £80 million

In a pre-close trading update, Games Workshop has said the sales and profit growth revealed in its 12 April trading update has continued to the end of its financial year.

The miniature wargaming manufacturer and retailer said growth has been seen across all sales channels.

The company is now expecting group sales for the year to 2 June 2019 to come in at around £254 million and pre-tax profit to be not less than £80 million. Pre-tax profit will be up from last year’s £74 million.

Meanwhile, royalties receivable from licensing are approximately £11 million.

In recognition of its staff’s contribution to the results, Game Workshop has paid profit share bonuses amounting to a total of £5 million in the year. These have been paid on an equal basis to each member of staff.
