Sky to open debut retail shop at Liverpool ONE

Sky is to launch a retail shop at the Liverpool ONE shopping destination.

Due to open on 26 October, the store on South John Street will bring the brand’s pay TV, mobile and broadband products all together under one roof for the first time. 

The shop will be separated into designated themed spaces and feature a dedicated ‘customer hub’ where customers can speak to advisors about the latest Sky innovations or get advice on their existing products. It will also include an ‘Access All Areas’ stage that will offer a range of interactive experiences to showcase Sky’s entertainment content.

In addition, there will be a iSmash shop-inshop where customers will be able to have their tech repaired.

Matthew Price, retail director at Sky UK, said: “Our new Sky shop will allow us to showcase the amazing benefits Sky has to offer to new and existing customers. Liverpool really stood out to us for this debut site and we’re pleased to be able to offer a safe environment in which people can shop for the latest innovative technology from Sky. We look forward to opening our doors and sharing the full experience with customers.”

Sky will join a series of new retail entrants at Liverpool ONE including MAC Cosmetics, Hamleys and Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Kenji.

Alison Clegg, director of asset mnagement at Grosvenor Europe, said: “The Sky UK debut will be a great addition to Liverpool ONE and further bolster our flagship line-up. We are excited that Sky has selected Liverpool ONE for its first physical retail shop as this new concept will be a real draw for our visitors and provide a unique experience that is not available anywhere else. This signing, along with other recent openings at Liverpool ONE, highlights the continued importance of bricks and mortar presence for leading brands.”
