Hughes Electrical launches first outlet store

Hughes Electrical has launched a new concept store with the opening of its first outlet shop.

The shop in Ipswich’s Felixstowe Road sells a range of domestic appliances and offers savings of up to 50%.

Items include ex-display models, returned goods, or products that have been slightly damaged in transit.

Luke Croucher, Hughes stock clearance manager, said: “All items are in perfect working order and come with a twelve month warranty valid from the date they are purchased from the outlet store.”

The new store will be overseen by branch manager Rachael Murrell. She said: “The store is now split roughly 50/50 between outlet items and the wide range of quality electrical goods you would find in any Hughes branch. Typically, we will have around 150 outlet items, each individually priced, at any one time with stock literally changing day to day.”

The Hughes Electrical Group has around 1,000 employees and an annual turnover of £125 million. It has around 35 stores nationwide.
