Dixons Travel to open five airport stores in Germany

Electricals retailer Dixons Travel is to open five new airport stores in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

The move follows the launch of two Dixons Travel stores in Oslo last year.

The new stores will be in the same format that was launched in Heathrow Terminal 3 in 2017, which has been shortlisted in the 2018 World Retail Awards. With a digital concept design, the stores offer customers top electrical brands with a varied product range including computing, audio, imaging, phones and smart appliances.

The shops will feature dedicated product demonstration areas, a mobile phone charging area, and the retailer’s Team Knowhow experts on hand to offer repairs and fixes. There will also be smart-controlled technology for shoppers to try out.

Heidi Woodhouse, managing director for Dixons Travel and concessions at Dixons Carphone, said: “We’re excited to be bringing our new-look Dixons Travel stores to more shoppers across Europe, providing a unique shopping experience – this time designed especially with the German market in mind.”
