Dixons Carphone hires new group finance director
Dixons Carphone, the electricals and mobile phone retailer, has appointed Jonny Mason as its new group finance director.
With his start date yet to be confirmed, Mason has been working as chief financial officer of Halfords since 2015 and was interim chief executive of the cycling and car parts retailer from September 2017 to January 2018.
His previous roles include chief financial officer of Scandi Standard, chief financial officer of Odeon and UCI Cinemas and finance director of Sainsbury’s.
Ian Livingston, chairman of Dixons Carphone, said: “The board and I are very pleased to welcome Jonny Mason to the group. Together with Alex Baldock, we now have a great new team to lead Dixons Carphone.”
Baldock added: “I am delighted to have Jonny by my side. He has an outstanding track record and brings the experience and qualities we need to take Dixons Carphone into the next phase of its transformation.”
