Sebastian Manes to leave Selfridges for Chrome Hearts

Selfridges is to see Sebastian Manes step down from his role as buying and merchandising director for women’s, kids, accessories, beauty, food and restaurants.

The executive has worked with the department store chain since 2004, initially as senior buyer for ladies’ accessories. After a succession of promotions, he took on his current role in 2011.

He will leave the business at the end of the year before moving to the US to join Chrome Hearts.

Until a successor is found, Manes’ role will be overseen by Andrew Keith, Selfridges managing director.

In separate news, the department store has appointed Laura Weir as creative director.
