Neiman Marcus names new chief financial officer

Neiman Marcus has appointed Katie Anderson as its chief financial officer.

Due to join the business on 4 Aprjl, she will be part of the group leadership team and report to Geoffroy van Raemdonck, Neiman Marcus chief executive.

She previously served in the same position at Guess, California Pizza Kitchen and Sprinkles after beginning her career in investment banking at Citigroup and Moelis & Company.

Anderson will drive all financial functions for the company and be responsible for risk management, real estate and the supply chain. She will also track progress towards the retailer’s growth execution and strategy.

Van Raemdonck said: “Katie’s accomplished background and financial acumen will guide NMG as we deliver against our key priorities to make life extraordinary for our customers, luxury brand partners, and associates. I am confident that her experienced leadership in both public and private companies will be an asset to NMG as we evolve with a rapidly changing industry.”

The company said Anderson will be a strong addition to NMG’s majority female led business. Women make up most of the company’s board of directors, over 50% of leaders at vice president level and above, and 68% of all corporate and store employees.
