Morleys appoints Allan Winstanley as chief executive
The Morleys chain of department stores has appointed Allan Winstanley as its new chief executive.
Due to take up his role in January 2025, he will succeed Nigel Blow who has held the position for the last eight years.
Winstanley has returned to work in the UK after serving as chief merchandise officer at Myer in Australia where he also co-led the the turnaround of the business.
Prior to that, he he worked president of Sears & Kmart Apparel at Sears Holdings in the US, as chief merchandise officer at De
Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, and also spent ten years ten years with House of Fraser where his most recent role was director of women’s apparel, accessories and beauty.
Winstanley has also previously held directorships with The British Fashion Council and The UK Fragrance Foundation.
Independently owned, the Morleys Group comprises of eight stores stores; Morleys Brixton, Morleys Bexleyheath, Morleys Tooting, Elys Wimbledon, Camp Hopson, Pearsons Enfield, Roomes Fashion & Home and James Selbys.
