John Lewis Partnership appoints Nicky Dulieu as non-executive director

The John Lewis Partnership has appointed Nicky Dulieu as a non-executive director of its partnership board. She will also chair of the audit and risk committee.

With a strong background in retail, Dulieu was chief executive of Hobbs from 2008 to 2014 after initially joining the fashion retailer as financial director. She began her career at Marks & Spencer where she held various strategic and financial roles over a 23 year period.

Dulieu is currently a non-executive director of WH Smit, Unite Students and housing developer, Redrow.

At John Lewis, she has succeeded Andy Martin who is standing down after five years with the partnership,

Sharon White, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, said: “I’m pleased to be welcoming Nicky to the partnership board. Her extensive experience and successful track record will be of great value to the Partnership as we continue to progress our five-year growth plan. On behalf of the business, I would also like to thank Andy for the important contribution he’s made over the last five years.”

Dulieu joins Rita Clifton who is also deputy chairman of the partnership board. The partnership is also looking to recruit a non-executive director to replace Nish Kankiwala following his appointment as chief executive in March.
