John Lewis locks prices on school uniform range

John Lewis is locking prices across its entire school uniform range as it looks to support families during the cost of living squeeze.

The retailer has launched its new Back to School collection whilst keeping prices flat on last year.

The items include an expanded selection of the retailer’s ANYDAY range which aims to offer budget-friendly clothing, without compromising on quality. Items range from knitwear and shorts to shirts and dresses.

Cydney Ball, children’s clothing and schoolwear buyer at John Lewis, said: “Our focus remains on providing high-quality, great value school uniforms which are made to last. And you don’t have to take our word for it – we’ve recently been awarded ‘Best For Durability’ by MadeforMums.

“With government guidance encouraging schools to move away from branded school uniform items, we expect more customers to look to us for jumpers and blazers this year, which they can then personalise by ironing or sewing school badges on to.

The retailer has also added more affordable footwear to the range by launching an exclusive collection of ‘Simply by Start-Rite’ school shoes. With two width fittings for smaller sizes, prices start at £36.
