John Lewis expands in-store services offering with launch of Randox Health clinics

John Lewis has teamed up with Randox Health to offer a range of health programmes aimed at preventative healthcare.

The department store said the move forms part of a natural extension to its growing range of personalised in-store services which also include opticians, wellness and beauty clinics.

Housed in the John Lewis High Wycombe store, the first Randox branded clinic is now taking bookings for appointments from 18 December. This will be followed by further openings at John Lewis stores in Bluewater and Cheltenham in December and January respectively.

Randox will provide detailed, full body health checks to identify early signs of health issues. Customers will also be able to get tested for vitamin deficiencies, hormone imbalances and key health concerns.

Prior to consultation, customers will be provided with guidance as well as medical and lifestyle questionnaires to complete. Appointments will be conducted by Randox healthcare professionals in the clinics’ private consultation rooms.

Naomi Simcock, executive director, John Lewis, said, “We pride ourselves on being there for our customers whenever they need us with products and services that are tailored for them. As trusted stores for local communities across the country, we can play an important role by making services like healthcare and wellness more convenient and accessible. In Randox we have an experienced and innovative partner to extend our range of existing in-store services, to help customers proactively manage their health and wellbeing.”

John Lewis has seen a rise in the number of customers using its physical stores, with visits increasing by 8% last year. Other in-store services include home design and ‘All Things Baby’ appointments.
