John Lewis appoints new non-exec director
The John Lewis Partnership has appointed Andy Martin as a non-executive director of its Partnership Board and chair of its audit and risk committee.
He has replaced Baroness Sarah Hogg whose term of office ended on 30 June.
Martin was group chief operating officer for Europe and Japan at Compass Group until 2015 and before that was the company’s group finance director.
Prior to joining Compass Group, Martin was group finance director at First Choice Holidays and also held a number of senior finance roles at Granada Group.
Since 2011, he has been a non-executive director at EasyJet and is also a non-executive director at Intertek Group and Hays.
Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of John Lewis Partnership, said: “Andy’s wealth of business and financial experience will complement the strength of the Board and we are looking forward to his input in shaping the continued development of our It’s Your Business 2028 strategy. I would also like to personally thank Baroness Hogg for the valuable contribution she has made to the Partnership over the past seven years.”
Other non-executive directors on the retailer’s Partnership Board include Keith Williams, who is also deputy chairman of the Partnership Board, and Laura Wade-Gery.
