Harvey Nichols to launch luxury resale service

Department store Harvey Nichols is to launch a new luxury resale service with Reflaunt later this month.

The offering will enable Harvey Nichols customers to resell any luxury items, bags and accessories in their wardrobes in exchange for up to 80% of the original price in the form of a bank transfer or Harvey Nichols vouchers.

Called the Reflaunt Resell Service at Harvey Nichols, it will go live on 26 August.

Customers will be able to drop off their items at collection points at Harvey Nichols stores and customers in London will also have the option of having their items picked up by the Reflaunt Concierge. Harvey Nichols and Reflaunt will then ready the items for sale by taking care of everything from authentication to pricing and the uploading of imagery.

Manju Malhotra, Harvey Nichols chief executive, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Reflaunt to offer our customers a circular model of consumption and to ensure that luxury fashion items are given the longer lifespan that they deserve.

“This innovative service provides customers with an effortless way to part with their pre-loved items and in re-homing them with a new owner, not only earns them Harvey Nichols vouchers, but closes the fashion circle.”

The service will initially be available on harveynichols.com and in Harvey Nichols stores excluding Dublin and Liverpool.
