Debenhams opens doors to new Watford store
Debenhams has opened a new department store in Watford that features its new Beauty Hall concept.
Spanning 86,000 square feet, the three-storey shop stocks an exclusive mix of designer, own label and international branded fashion and home ranges, as well as in-house food offerings from Loaf & Bloom and Costa Coffee.
In addition, the shop is the first Debenhams store in the UK to feature the retailer’s new Beauty Hall concept. Designed by Checkland Kindleysides, the new offering occupies 15% of the store and aims to be an interactive space with products from both established beauty houses and newer companies.
Sergio Bucher, chief executive of Debenhams, said: “Our new Watford store reflects the changes that we are implementing as part of the Debenhams Redesigned strategy.
“With our Beauty Hall of the Future, we are responding to the way that customers say that they want to shop as well as offering a compelling food offer and choice of beauty treatments in order to offer a destination where shopping can be enjoyed with friends and family.”
The store also features the retailer’s new branding.
