Debenhams appoints Space NK founder to board

Debenhams has appointed Space NK founder Nicky Kinnaird as a non-executive director.
The department store is looking to benefit from her expertise in the beauty sector.
Kinnaird founded speciality beauty retailer Space NK in 1993 and, following the sale of the business, now consults for an international roster of clients in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle sectors.
Sir Ian Cheshire, chairman of Debenhams, said: “We are very pleased that Nicky is joining the board. She brings a wealth of experience and understanding in brand development and the global beauty industry. Her knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as Debenhams embarks on the next stage of its development under new leadership.”
