Debenhams appoints new CFO
The Debenhams department store chain has announced that it will be appointing Mike Hazell as chief financial officer.
Currently group finance director at Debenhams, Hazell will also be appointed to the Debenhams board.
Before joining the retailer in February 2010, he previously held finance roles at Sky and Pfizer.
Hazell will succeed Rachel Osborne who will be stepping down to take up the position of chief financial officer at the Ted Baker fashion chain.
Stefaan Vansteenkiste, Debenhams chief executive, said: “I am pleased that we have such a strong internal candidate for the chief financial officer role, with Mike having played a key part in the refinancing and restructuring activity over the past 12 months. I look forward to working with him and the rest of the leadership team on delivering our turnaround plan.”
