Shopping centre clicks on to social networking

The Mall, Luton has just launched a new initiative designed to keep local shoppers up-to-date with special offers, promotions, details of upcoming events, and even the latest job opportunities
Shoppers in Bedfordshire can now find the very latest offers and the hottest bargains on the pages of their favourite social networking sites: Facebook and Twitter. The team at The Mall will be updating Twitter and Facebook daily, and will even be posting pictures and videos of events in the shopping centre as they happen.
Local people will be able to read the latest @themallluton tweets on Twitter and visit The Mall, Luton Facebook page to find out what is happening that day in the shopping centre, and then pop in to take a look, or be the first to bag that bargain. The updates will contain everything from details of new store openings, through to individual buy-one-get-one-free offers; and from the launches of exciting new product ranges to a mention of a single, fabulous pair of shoes. There will also be competitions and promotions specifically for the online fans and followers of The Mall.
The Mall, Luton will also be using the updates to support local charities and community activity by promoting relevant news and events from these organisations to a wider audience.
